Recently, in the Bangkok Post in Thailand, the front page news was an image of a Thai motorcyclist calming a herd of elephants that surrounded him on a highway intersecting the Khao Yai elephant sanctuary. For those of you who are not familiar with a “wai”, click here for a reference. His reaction worked as the elephants calmed down. Maybe a highway through an elephant sanctuary is not such a good idea.
