As the fisherman pants have no pockets, the Thai and Lao people have a tradition of carrying shoulder bags or "yà ¡ms." Buddhist monks were the first to utilize yà ¡ms, as their robes had no pockets. Yà ¡m bags made by the Wang Lao village weavers in the Golden Triangle.
