Olivia Dar, a French designer based in India, takes a contemporary spin on traditional Indian accessories. All the pieces are handmade by artisans in her studio in Delhi as well as ethically sourced from artisans in several regions of India and Central Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan).

After working on embroidery and accessories for French couture houses Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent, French designer Olivia Dar planted roots in India post a life-changing backpacking trip in the subcontinent. She lived in Dharamshala studying Tibetan culture and then Jaipur for gemmology and before settling in New Delhi to establish her a namesake label, launched in 2011, and directly inspired by Indian culture.
