The Elephant Story Invitational Elephant Polo Tournament

Four teams represented Citi, The ToleHouse Chameleons of Nepal WEPA fame, Sara Story Design and The Elephant Story in the Elephant Story elephant polo tournament.  Apart from the $10,000 raised from the team sponsorships, another $12,000 remained in the small village to add direct economic support to the elephants and owners.  The Elephant Story through the GTAEF provides direct financial support to the primary and secondary schools in the elephant village, home to 200 elephants.

Gumbo and Strings Concert and Auction

On July 3, The Elephant Story raised over $30,000 through the Gumbo and Strings concert and auction.  Aaron Meyer and Tim Ellis performed to a packed house.

A successful auction followed with fourteen Southeast Asian hotel packages being sold and an evening in the BAML Spur's box. Rusty Busby served as the auctioneer as well as entertainer.  A special thanks goes to Jason Friedman, General Manager of The Siam Hotel in Bangkok, for his organization of the hotel packages.

Later, Rusty was awarded The Order of The White Elephant for his meritorious service.
